Prevention and Preparedness projects

Every year the European Commission's Humanitarian Aid and Civil Protection department (ECHO) publishes a number of calls for proposal concerning a range of relief and civil protection efforts (these calls are not for humanitarian funding).

Prevention and preparedness projects cover various topics such as risk assessments, enhancing emergency management, understanding institutional and legislative context of emergency management in neighbouring countries, identifying gaps to cross-border emergency response, etc.

In 2017, DSB received funding for a project (2018-2019) on resilience to disruptions on electric power supply in cities (MEREPUV).
