About the process

To get the fastest possible processing time, make sure you:

• Specify which profession you want approval to practice in Norway. You can only apply for approval to pursue a profession to which you are educated and have experience from abroad.
• Provide all documentation in accordance with the list of documentation that you must attach to your application.

It is an advantage that you can speak and write a Scandinavian language, or that you can speak and write English.

Once we have received the required information and documentation, we will evaluate your professional qualifications. Response from DSB will be sent as a letter to the person who has assessed his / her professional qualifications.

Expected processing time

Applications will be processed as quickly as possible, and no later than 4 (four) months after the application has been satisfactorily documented.
