The DSB manages Norway's participation in the EU's Civil Preparedness Mechanism (UCPM) and is the point of contact with the EU's, the UN's, and NATO's civilian crisis management mechanisms.
The DSB receives notifications and reports on international incidents, requests for assistance related to resources, emergency response capacities and personnel. DSB's mission is to ensure effective and timely Norwegian assistance to international events.
