Flammable conditions
It is useful for the fire service to get tips from you if you come across conditions that make you concerned about fire safety. Examples of conditions you should report are missing or blocked escape routes, improper storage of flammable goods, liquids or gases, unwise use of fire in nature or other flammable activity.
You can save lives
If you discover anything that could be flammable, contact your local fire department and tell them about your concern.
When the fire service receives a note of concern, they consider whether to implement measures. Your report of concern can help prevent serious incidents and, if an accident really occurs, save lives. The information you provide to the fire service is treated confidentially.
How to report
Many fire departments are part of branntips.no, a common solution for reporting concerns to the fire service (external page, opens in new window).
You can get in touch with fire brigades that are not included here by e-mail or phone. Some have also created their own forms that can be filled out on the fire service's website.
Written note of concern
If you cannot find a form and need to submit a written report of concern, remember to include information about who you are and contact information so that the fire service can contact you. Also describe what you are worried about, at what address the flammable conditions are and who the fire service can contact there.
