As a pet owner, it's your responsibility to make sure your animals are well, both in everyday life and in times of crisis. But with a few simple tips, you can prepare yourself and your pet for the unforeseen.

What do you do if you have to evacuate?

If you have to leave home, you must also bring your pets with you. Remember that animals must be secured while driving. Check in advance where you are allowed to bring your animals. Make an appointment with neighbors, friends, or family who can help with the pets if you can't do it yourself.

What does your pet need?

Every pet has different needs. Think about what is important for your particular animal in a crisis situation. Use the advice on this page as a starting point.
