Choose a safe dealer
Buy the stove from a dealer who is familiar with stoves and the regulations that apply to electrical products. You should also check if the product is CE marked and marked with the name of the manufacturer and importer.
Be present during use
Be present when the oven is turned on. Then you will discover it faster if the stove gets too hot, starts to leak or other faults occur. Do not use the oven when you are away or while you are sleeping.
Do not use an extension cord
Never use an extension cord on a portable stove, the stove should be plugged into a socket in the room it will be located. Any extra connection implies a weakness, and if you also have a large load over a long period of time, as a heater is, the risk of fire increases.
Place the oven correctly
Never cover an oven with clothes or other items. Also make sure that it is placed well away from flammable material. It's easy to tip over the stove during play. Therefore, be extra careful when small children or animals are in the same room as the oven.
Fan heaters have a large air flow when they are in use. It is important that these have free access for the air flow and a good distance from flammable material.
Not suitable for children's rooms
Only use fixed panel heaters in children's rooms. Portable heaters should not be used in small rooms where children sleep, and they should only be used as additional heating.
Storage advice
Do not expose the oven to moisture or corrosion when storing the oven. Clean/vacuum the oven, even inside, if it has collected dust. Check oil-filled stoves for leaks. Do not put power on a portable oil stove where the oil has leaked. If you are going to clear away an oil-filled stove, make sure that it is stored upright.
Portable heaters can be handed in at an electrical retailer or at a waste facility when they no longer work or need to be disposed of for other reasons.
