Notification of work (fme § 8)
Before the construction and modification of maritime electrical installations begins, the shipowner shall ensure that notification of the work is sent to the supervisory authority. Installations with a nominal voltage not higher than 50 V alternating voltage and 120 V direct voltage, are exempted from notification, as long as they are not located in potentially explosive areas.
